Since being introduced to coaching, being coached as well as being a coach, I have learned a secret to being happy unconditionally and that is knowing and loving myself.
If you don’t know and naturally appreciate the gift of who you are how could you possibly fully give of your natural gifts? It isn’t boastful or self-centered to know and love yourself, it is the opposite.
The more comfortable we are with the natural qualities we were born with, the more easily we can share them and hopefully create a positive impact on others.
If we hide behind modesty, protesting positive attention because we are unworthy, it is like saying, “I am nothing. I mean nothing. I have nothing to share.”
Unfortunately, we also unknowingly give the same message to those around us that they too are unworthy. The truth is we all have the wiring to be innately wonderful.
Continually finding fault with ourselves, feeling guilty and embarrassed over our mistakes also keeps us off center from the natural beautiful beings that we are.
It is a sad and unfortunate way to be since it doesn’t feel good and we miss out on the joy of being authentic….uncensored, unleashed and unabashedly joyful in life.
When we are in a state of love with ourselves, we are connected to the universal truth that there is greatness in all of us and that we are ALL lovable. The more we own it, the better we are able to light the fire in other people.
The way I see it is we are ALL going to go from birth to death. No getting around it. We can feel good on the trip, or we can be miserable. I choose to feel as good as I can and knowing and loving myself insures an enjoyable journey.
How do you want to feel? How do you want your life-journey to be?
